Peak Function Chiropractic

When you arrive, we’ll greet you and have you come through to meet with our chiropractor, Robert van Schalkwyk. He’ll talk with you about your history and why you’ve come to see us today. Next, he’ll conduct a thorough examination, including chiropractic, orthopaedic and functional movement assessments and a posture analysis—Robert will explain everything he’s doing and answer your questions. If x-rays, MRI scans or further diagnostic investigations are warranted, he will refer you to Vista Diagnostics in Waterloo.

At this point, Robert will give you a brief explanation of what he’s found and how it relates to your reason for being here, as well as a general idea of what to expect from care. With your consent, he’ll perform a chiropractic adjustment or mobilisation. This visit takes about 45 minutes.

Before you return, Robert will study your examination results and X-rays thoroughly to create a detailed and customised care plan for you. At your second visit, he will go over his findings in greater detail and let you know how frequently you’ll need to see us and for how long.

Our care includes a full program that includes chiropractic adjustments, mobilisations, soft tissue work, stretching, corrective exercises, functional movement training and more. Each aspect of the program will be tailored specifically to help you meet your individual goals.
